Evaluate Person

The Angel Return dating site has a very interesting system that will allow it to automatically suspend a user’s profile if they get enough negative reviews. This is done with the Evaluate Person feature. Clicking this will open a pop-up that allows you to rate the user, using the options “Very Beautiful”, “Nice”, “Scammer”, “Fake”, or “Rude”.

Each time a user gets rated, they get points. Nice and Beautiful are +1 point, while Scammer, Fake, or Rude is -1 point. If their Bad Score reaches -50 points, the system will automatically suspend their account. This is particularly useful because it enables members to act against other members who cause issues by, for example, spamming others. You can only rate each member once.

Block/Report

Another action members can take against other members behaving badly is to report or block them. If you report another user, you’ll be asked to pick a reason from a drop-down list that includes hate speech, scam or fraud, inappropriate photos, or asking for money, among others. You can also add a comment to explain further and send the report. The moderation team will investigate the incident and take further action.

You can also remove users from your results and chat by clicking on “Block”. This will add them to your block list. The other user won’t be able to contact you or even find your profile anymore. This is an effective way to protect yourself from users who have ulterior motives because it stops them from bothering you.

Lack of Privacy Policy

While the site’s Terms of Use contain nothing of concern, we find the lack of a real, separate, explicit Privacy Policy to be concerning. A Privacy Policy usually exists to explain to users what information is collected about them and what that information is used for. Most dating sites have one, so the omission is curious and a little concerning. Without it, there’s no way of knowing what AngelReturn dating does with your pictures, name, or other profile information.

One silver lining is that since payments are only available via the app, the site never directly gets your financial information, so your hard-earned cash is safe.

Angel Return has a few interesting features, including instant messaging, as well as audio and video calling.
