Mingl3 presents its users with two registration options: a form and your Google account. The latter being the quickest of the two, your email address will be automatically verified. The form on the other hand, takes a little longer to fill in. Here’s what you will need to provide:

“Speed Date” is Mingl3’s version of swiping. Users are presented with a stack of profile previews and they can either click on the “x” or “thumbs-up” icon to skip or like the other person. The preview allows users to visit profiles in their entirety, but up front you are only able to see their profile picture, age, and location. When two users like each other through “Speed Date” it’s a match. Although you can chat with the other person regardless of getting matched, it’s always great to know the other person is interested before you send that first message.
Pins
The “Pins” tab allows users to keep their own filtered down list of their favorite profiles in one place. All users have to do is click on the “push pin” icon from the other person’s profile to add them to the list. “Pinned” users are notified as you automatically add your own profile under their “Pinned Me” tab. It’s a nice and simple way to capture the attention of another user on the site without sending that first message. It’s also a nice place to find people who are interested in you and are eager to get to know you.
Views
The “Viewed Me” tab is pretty self explanatory. You can see the profiles of other users who have visited your profile listed under the tab. Their profiles are presented in a small preview (similar to how profiles are shown in the members’ area). From there you will be able to see the other person’s profile picture, username, age, location and how many gallery images they have. It’s a nice place to find users who might be interested in you, as well as discover the profiles of others who you might have not come across in your own searches.

Mingl3 operates on a coin-basis, which means users have to exchange coins for certain actions, or in this case, send messages. As mentioned previously, the website offers new users some free coins to start with and test out the site. Aside from the initial registration and email verification coins, users can also receive up to 380 coins for completing their profile. Mingl3 also offers 10 coins for each consecutive day you log in, and a total of 40 if you’ve logged into your account daily for a week.
Each message on the site costs 40 coins, which depending on the package you choose to purchase can get quite expensive. Good news is that new users also have the chance to chat unlimitedly for 24 hours for the price of £13.99.

As referenced previously, Mingl3 operates its own moderated profiles on the website. These profiles are mainly used to keep users entertained during down times of the site and it is not possible to meet with the individuals behind them. There is also no way to really tell which profiles are real on the site, which raises a few eyebrows regarding the legitimacy of the profiles.
Measures
Mingl3 clarifies in their Terms and Conditions that they take “all reasonably practicable steps” to keep the site free from malicious programs and links. Nonetheless, they also clarify that they cannot be held liable for any viruses conducted from the platform, not to mention they cannot guarantee that the site itself won’t be free of bugs.
